Usher Ministry

“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalms 84:10

The purpose and function of the Usher Ministry is to meet, greet and seat the visitors, parishioners and members attending worship services as they enter the Sanctuary, by directing them to available seating and receiving tithes and offerings. The Ushers’ Ministry is far more than that of a door-keeper; it embraces the care and well-being of members and visitors while maintaining order in the House of God so that the Holy Spirit can minister through the Message. It is a ministry that operates in excellence with the understanding that our service is unto God. The ushers serve as watchmen, servants, and disciplinarians, among other things.
